Mrs Hinch fan shares unusual toilet cleaning hack to remove limescale

Mrs Hinch fans have recently set up their own Facebook groups so that they can share their own cleaning hacks with each other. Cleaning fans from all over the UK post their incredible tips and tricks like this toilet cleaning hack with a very unusual product.

Posting on the Facebook group Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips one fan raved about a new product that managed to remove tough limescale from her toilet.

The cleaning fan wrote: “Moved into a new house and the toilet was so many with limescale, been trying for ages to clear the horrible brown icky stuff and had no luck.

“Tried everything! Was very stubborn, today I had a spontaneous idea and oh my it was the most lazy but effective thing I’ve ever done.”

The woman revealed how she used an all purpose descaler that you could use on items like a coffee machine or kettle to remove the stains in her toilet.

Fans were quick to rush to the comments to find out more about the hack and to share their opinions.

One commented: “You don’t need to empty old water out you could just pour a large pan of hot water in and that flushes out the old water, then use sachet and later pour more hot water to flush clean.”

However this fan also told others that the water should be hot but not boiling as this could be quite damaging.

Other fans expressed their love for this descaler and how they use it on other items around their home.

White vinegar has cleaning properties that can leave areas of the home sparkling clean.

It is cheap and versatile that can be used to clean items in the bathroom like stainless steel taps and the shower handset.

Vinegar’s acidity is what makes it such a great cleaner to remove dirt and grime.

Baking powder and bicarbonate of soda have also been used in the past to clean items around the home.
