Frank ‘n’ Roy
Why have I posted three pictures of Frank Lampard and Roy Hodgson together?
No reason. At all. I just enjoy how they look so disinterested in each other in every photo. Perhaps that’s more down to the England squad at that time…
A debutant…
Chelsea are set to debut their new away kit for the 2020-21 season tonight.
The colour is described as ‘Arctic blue’ and supposedly has that ‘millennial swagger’ everyone’s been DYING to see in a football kit.
Always love the club’s description of their new kits. Sounds like they are deploying the latest vessel to explore the solar system.
Here’s what they wrote: “Chelsea’s stunning 2020-21 away kit effortlessly blends an aura of traditional London tailoring with the energy and colours of today’s SW6.
“The away kit adds an injection of millennial swagger – perfect for the confident, emerging talents lighting up Stamford Bridge under head coach Frank Lampard.
“A monochromatic club crest filled with a micro-herringbone pattern sits on the chest, alongside a dark blue Nike Swoosh.”
Yeah, alright lads. Glad I had the dictionary out for the last paragraph.

Twitter reaction
Nizaar: Michy Batshuayi makes a 20 man squad for the first time since the restart. On the bench, of course..
Licks: So Frank Lampard is starting Billy Gilmour over Jorginho.. It seems Jorginho would go and meet Maurizio Sarri at Juventus.
Deryc: Frank Lampard will not start Jorginho. WOW. Whatever it is, it must be deep… I like Billy, on a good day he’s a joy to watch… #CRYCHE. LMAO the hashtag says cry Chelsea.
Easily pleased, Deryc.

Team news – Chelsea
Frank Lampard makes one enforced change from the side who beat Watford 3-0 at Stamford Bridge.
Billy Gilmour replaces the injured N’Golo Kante in midfield. That means Chelsea stick with Olivier Giroud ahead of Tammy Abraham. Antonio Rudiger is once again left on the bench – as is Jorginho.
Is that a snub? He didn’t look happy at not being brought on against the Hornets.
Team news – Crystal Palace
Crystal Palace make two changes from the 3-0 loss at Leicester.
Roy Hodgson welcomes back Scott Dann, who replaces the wildly erratic Mamadou Sakho. Cheikhou Kouyate also comes in for Jairo Riedewald.
Starting XI
Team news arrives. Any surprises? Just the inclusion of Billy Gilmour in place of the injured N’Golo Kante I think. Jorginho on the bench.
Crystal Palace XI: Guaita, Ward, van Aanholt, Dann, Cahill, McArthur, Kouyate, Milivojevic, Zaha, Ayew, Benteke.
Subs: Hennessey, Meyer, Townsend, Sakho, McCarthy, Woods, Mitchell, Pierrick, Riedewald.
Chelsea XI: Arrizabalaga, Azpilicueta, James, Christensen, Zouma, Gilmour, Mount, Barkley, Willian, Pulisic, Giroud.
Subs: Caballero, Rudiger, Alonso, Jorginho, Abraham, Pedro, Loftus-Cheek, Hudson-Odoi, Batshuayi.

The form…
Well Crystal Palace have fallen off a cliff over the last three games. Their dominant 2-0 victory over Bournemouth indicated they’d end the season strongly but now appears to only prove how bad Eddie Howe’s side are.
Three consecutive defeats for Roy Hodgson and co. without a goal scored.
As for Chelsea, they bounced back from a stoppage-time defeat to West Ham in style with a 3-0 drubbing of Watford. A game that featured one of the most incomprehensible fouls from Étienne Capoue. Still baffled now.
Four wins in five for the Stamford Bridge club – including the one against Manchester City.
Tonight’s action
Three Premier League fixtures on this evening. Four tomorrow. Three the next day. And what feels like five everyday for the rest of our lives.
Touch morbid there…
Anyway, tonight we’ve got Crystal Palace vs Chelsea, Watford vs Norwich and Arsenal vs Leicester. Every goal, tackle and irritating drinks break will be discussed right here.

Afternoon…
Fancy seeing you here.
Welcome to our LIVE coverage of Crystal Palace vs Chelsea from Selhurst Park.
So today marks the start of Gameweek 34. I only write that because I had absolutely no idea where we stood after this festival of football.
Five rounds remaining everything is still up for grabs… apart from the title. Apparently Liverpool won that…
Who will have a European adventure? Who’s having a spell in the second-tier? And who gets the sheer pride of finishing between 8th and 16th? All exciting questions.
Team news out shortly. Standby.
