Comet NEOWISE UK: How to see the icy Comet NEOWISE from the UK this month?

Seasoned stargazers will see the comet pass under the stars of the Bif Dipper.

Astronomer Paul Sutherland of Skymania said: “It is shining at a comparable brightness to the brightest stars, and it is sporting a lovely tail which shows itself in photos, despite the onset of dawn.

“Estimates put its brightness at around +1 magnitude.”

The comet is best seen from the Northern Hemisphere and here in the UK, it will be best seen low in the sky before dawn.

But the comet will become increasingly more visible earlier in the night, in a darker sky.

Just keep in mind cloudless skies and unobstructed views of the horizon are a must.
