Former Real Housewives of New York star Bethenny Frankel enjoyed the sunshine over the Fourth of July weekend with her boyfriend, Paul Bernon. The couple spent time on the water during the holiday, and Frankel rocked a tiny red bikini in a photo she posted on Instagram.
Frankel and Bernon posed for the pic next to an American flag while hanging out on a boat. In the caption, Frankel wrote: “Happy #IndependenceDay! 🇺🇸❤️🤍💙”
Frankel’s former RHONY co-star Sonja Morgan was a big fan of the pic, and she wrote, “In my dreams. Miss you,” in the comments section along with a heart emoji. Live! With Kelly and Ryan host Kelly Ripa added: “W🔥W.”
A few days prior to the bikini pic, Frankel posted a photo with her 10-year-old daughter Bryn, and they wore matching one-piece suits covered in hot air balloons. Frankel noted in the caption that it was the “First official weekend of summer.”
Frankel and Bernon have been dating since 2018, and they were finally able to spend some time together after being apart during the COVID-19 pandemic. When the lockdowns began back in March, Frankel told Entertainment Tonight that she was at her home in the Hamptons and working with her B Strong Foundation to aid workers on the frontlines.
At the same time, Bernon was at his home in Boston. But, Frankel revealed that the distance between her and Bernon brought them closer together.
“We’re not together, but this has brought us closer than ever,” dished Frankel. “You’re closer to the people that you can’t be with [because] you’re feeling like you want to talk to them and FaceTime them and you miss them. So we are closer than ever.”
Frankel explained that she had considered going to Boston to be with Bernon through the lockdown, but she felt it was best to be at home where she felt the safest and the most comfortable.
The SkinnyGirl mogul said that when anxieties are high, she needs to be able to do her own routine and be close to her child. Frankel added that she needs to have her dogs and things she can touch, and all of these reasons led to her staying in New York.
Even though Bernon was in Boston, Bethenny Frankel said that he was helping her organization with their “Boston efforts” at Mass General. The reality star says that her B Strong foundation specializes in disaster relief, and when they come and help they stay “long after the headlines fade.”

Frankel’s new podcast Just B with Bethenny Frankel will launch in September 2020 and be available on Apple, Spotify and other listening platforms.
