Alan Halsall talks ‘future’ with girlfriend Tisha Merry: 'I would love that for our child'

Coronation Street star Alan Halsall, 37, and his girlfriend Tisha Merry, 27, have addressed their plans to have children together as they opened up about their “future” as a couple. Tisha, who starred alongside her beau as Steph Britton in the ITV soap until last year, explained that seeing the actor looking after his daughter Sienna, from his marriage to ex-wife Lucy-Jo Hudson, has made her excited for when they start a family together.

The actress told OK! Magazine in a joint interview alongside Alan: “He’ll be so amazing. When we were still friends, I got asked to babysit and asked Alan to come along.

“We got there and it was just Alan babysitting. He’s such a good dad; he’s so caring and loving.”

Tisha went on to say Alan’s “communication” with his daughter is “so strong” and she would like him to develop the same close relationship with their child, if they have one in the future.

She added: “He notices everything and his communication with Sienna is so strong.

“We can now share this wonderful news with you all and we’re very proud to announce… this is a scan of my liver in perfect condition, ready for when the pubs re-open…….”

Alan’s fans and Corrie co-stars took to the comments section at the time to share their thoughts in response to his joke.

Sally Dynevor, who plays Sally Metcalfe in the ITV soap, wrote to Alan: “Very good, nearly had me xxx.”

A pal then proceeded to write “congratulations mate,” to which Alan corrected his friend by replying: “Put your glasses on and read it.”
