President Trump and presumptive Democrat nominee Joe Biden have been gearing up their campaigns for president in recent months. Polls have so far shown Biden with a steady lead over Trump for election. Trump’s approval ratings and popularity have taken a hit due to a series of crises affecting the US, including the coronavirus pandemic, record unemployment and protests over the death of George Floyd.
Gallup released their latest June polling numbers for the US election on Monday.
Their poll showed the largest gap between Democrat and Republican support for the president recorded.
Gallup’s poll showed 91 percent of Republican’s support Donald Trump, where as Democrat support sits at an abysmal two percent.
It also saw Trump’s overall approval rating stay steady but still low at 38 percent.

The 89 point difference between the two parties is the largest recorded this year.
January and early February, where Trump was battling impeachment, saw an 87 point difference.
The last Gallup poll took place from May 28 to June 4 saw Republican support at 85 percent, while he saw drops with independents and Democrats.
Key independent support for President Trump fell from 39 to 33 percent, whereas Democrat support bottomed out further from 5 to 2 percent.
Gallup have also poured more worry onto Trump’s campaign, recording loss of support in every major voting group.
The only group that supports President Trump is white voters without college degrees, who from May to June went from 66 percent support to 57.
His most shocking drop in support comes from the East of the US, with 40 percent support at the start of the year dropping to 27 percent.
Despite Trump’s emphasis on the South, he also lost support among voters: January saw 53 percent support the president in the South, whereas June sees support at 48.
The polling numbers spell trouble for Donald Trump on November 3, and is a major reason why the President is insisting on campaigning.
The President will hold his latest rally in New Hampshire on Saturday, despite health officials warning against the event.
New Hampshire is one of the few states in the US sees coronavirus cases drop.
Trump relaunched his campaign rallies in Tulsa, Oklahoma last month, where multiple Trump staffers ended up infected with COVID-19 after attending.
Other recent poll embarrassments for the president come from Monmouth University, which shows Biden with an 11 point lead over Trump, 53 to 41 percent.
Collecting national poll averages, RealClearPolitics shows Biden leading Trump by nearly double digits.
Most crucially, Biden is leading Trump by at least 6.5 percent in four key battleground states.
