Elvis Presley 'was WILD in Las Vegas' reveals ex: Hair dye on the walls to shooting his TV

From 1969 until his death eight years later, Elvis Presley performed 636 shows in Las Vegas. His first took place on July 31, 1969 at the newly opened International Hotel, having booked a residency with its president Alex Shoofey and his wife Joanie Shoofey, The King’s ex-girlfriend from a decade earlier. Now 83-years-old, the former Miss Nevada has opened up on Elvis’ wild living in Las Vegas with the Memphis Mafia.

Elvis’ ex-girlfriend added: “And I was the only one who could get anybody in there.

“Because he didn’t want to meet that many people.

“He was tired of [it].”

A member of the Memphis Mafia was Elvis’ cousin Billy Smith, who once spoke of how The King would regularly shoot his TVs and why.

Speaking on his son’s YouTube channel Memphis Mafia Kid, Billy said: “Most the time ‘cause he wanted to!

“It might be something he saw on TV or it might of been something that bothered him.

“A lot of times you had to wait a little later until Elvis kinda went through whatever was bothering him and then he would tell you.

“I mean he could have been mad at somebody or something that happened and he would just…take it out on…and he shot several TVs now.”
