Matt Baker: Countryfile star tells Peter Andre 'you look so much better' after topless pic

Countryfile presenter Matt Baker, 42, couldn’t resist teasing Peter Andre, 47, after he shared a topless snap with his 1.5 million Instagram followers yesterday. While treating fans to the photo, which showed the toned singer flexing his biceps, Peter wrote: “Not long now….. I just wanted to post this pic. Love to all.”

While Peter’s followers flocked to the comments section of his post to gush over his appearance in the picture, Matt was quick to remind the star of the time he “leant him some clothes”.

The former The One Show host cheekily commented on the post: “Looks like I need to lend you some more clothes.

“So funny you look so much better in my clothes than I do.”

Fortunately, Peter saw the funny side of Matt’s remark and admitted alongside laughing face emojis: “@mattbakerofficial mate I will never live that down. How are you?”

Matt then replied: “@peterandre we’re all good this end Ta enjoying watching your family antics [laughing face emoji].”

Peter and Matt’s funny exchange on the social media platform comes after the dad-of-four stepped in to replace Matt when he was “away” from The One Show last year and admitted to “stealing his dressing room”.

Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, Peter revealed: “I did [present] it with Alex when Matt was away and I loved stealing his dressing room.

“I was even putting my photo on his, I let him have it. I was calling him Matt Andre.”

He told viewers in a statement: “I’d like to thank all those I’ve worked with over the years and especially you, the viewer, for showing me so much support during my time on the green sofa.”

The show has not yet announced a permanent replacement for Matt and his former co-presenter Alex Jones has been fronting the programme with a series of guest hosts since his departure.

Matt, who hosted the show for nine years, recently admitted he is missing being part of it while messaging Alex.

The farmer opened up about pining for the BBC programme when the Welsh television personality shared a selfie in the lift on the way up to the studio in view of her 251,000 Instagram followers.
