Wycombe took a huge step towards the League One playoff final with a resounding 4-1 win in an action packed semi-final first leg at Fleetwood on Friday night.

Ched Evans needed just two minutes to cancel out Nnamdi Ofoborh’s second-minute opener for Wanderers before Alex Cairns’ own-goal but the visitors back in front in a dramatic opening.

Lewis Coyle’s dismissal after 33 minutes and David Wheeler’s goal on the stroke of half-time put Joey Barton’s side firmly on the back foot, and Alex Samuel compounded their misery 12 minutes after the break.
