Hyper Scape is the latest contender for the battle royale throne, and the new free-to-play game is set to get unveiled today. Rumours emerged earlier this week that on Thursday July 2 Ubisoft would lift the lid on their upcoming Fortnite and Apex Legends rival. And the official Hyper Scape Twitter account is counting down to an announcement that is scheduled to take place at 5pm BST today.
The first tweet from the @HyperScapeGame – which was posted on Monday – said: “Deploying the Hyper Scape. Estimated time to activation: 3 Days.”
And ahead of the rumoured announcement today (Thursday July 2 ) at 4pm the Hyper Scape Twitter wrote: “Estimated Time Remaining: 1 Hour”.
Like with the Apex Legends and Valorant launches, it’s believed some high profile streamers have got to play Hyper Scape earlier.
And they’re expected to be involved in the promotion of the new Ubisoft game, which is rumoured to be launching next week.
Ahead of the official reveal of Hyper Scape DidYouKnowGaming’s Liam Robertson revealed a few new details about the upcoming Ubisoft shooter.
Robertson tweeted: “It’s Ubisoft reveal day. They’re showing off their battle royale, an FPS with a couple of twists.
“Players can supposedly be revived under certain conditions and there is a king of the hill style element where someone can win by possessing an item for a certain amount of time.”
Earlier this week eSports insider Rod Breslau posted a tonne of details about Hyper Scape, including claims the game will launch on July 12.
In a series of tweets Breslau wrote: “Sources: today Ubisoft will tease a new game code-named “Prisma Dimensions”, which is actually a new AAA multiplayer fast-paced FPS Battle Royale from Ubisoft Montreal (R6, AC) named Hyper Scape.
“Sources: Hyper Scape is a free to play BR FPS set in a futuristic virtual world for both PC and consoles with the console launch coming later this year including crossplay. Hyper Scape goes into closed beta next week with open beta and full launch of the game on July 12th.
“Sources: Hyper Scape is being built with streamers in mind in a full partnership with Twitch with never seen levels of integration from a big game before. Twitch chat will among other things be able to directly impact the game live with game-changing events.
“Much like the launches of Valorant and Apex Legends, Ubisoft has invited hundreds of streamers, pro gamers, and youtubers to get a first look at the game. they (and likely games press too) will be releasing the first gameplay footage under embargo later this week.”
