Strictly Come Dancing star Saffron Barker, 19, has confessed the “bane” of her life” while she and former professional dancer AJ Pritchard, 25, competed in the BBC dancing competition last year. The YouTuber revealed she “felt a lot of pressure” at the time.
While Saffron made it to the 10th week on Strictly last year, the 19-year-old has now reflected on how she felt during her first performance with AJ.
Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, the social media sensation divulged: “I never experienced nerves like it in my entire life.
“All I kept thinking was just do not fall over in the heels,” she recalled.
“They were just the bane of my life. They were so painful. And you almost have to squeeze.”

Saffron shared: “I have to hide this for like, at least a good seven, eight months. So, being able to talk about it now is just crazy and a dream come true.
“My last range just sold out so incredibly fast,” she added.
“This one is actually the collection I’ve been working on the longest. So yeah, it’s just really, really exciting.”
During the interview, Saffron also revealed why she felt she “had” to be chosen as AJ’s celebrity partner.
It comes after Express.co.uk asked the YouTube star whether she initially wanted to be partnered up with the BBC star – who decided to quit the programme in March.
Saffron explained: “Oh, I wanted to be partnered with AJ. 100 per cent.
“To be honest, I kind of had to out of everyone else because we were the smallest,” she confessed.
“So I kind of knew what was happening.”
