Demi Lovato took to social media to pay tribute to her late grandpa after his heartbreaking passing and her message was really touching. Here is what the mourning singer had to say!
Demi’s grandfather, Perry, passed away earlier today and his loving granddaughter shared a heartbreaking post in his memory while sharing the very sad news with her millions of followers.
She posted a number of pics that showed her and Perry and in the caption, Demi wrote: ‘I Woke up to the news that my Grandpa Perry passed away early this morning. He has been sick for a couple of years now so although I am relieved he’s out of pain, it hurts to think that our family will not get to say our goodbyes with a proper funeral for a while. But that is the reality during this pandemic.’
She went on to also tell her fans that her grandpa was a very God loving man.
Furthermore, she expressed regret over not taking more pics with him before losing him forever.
‘This man loved God FIERCELY and he was one of the best preacher’s I have ever had the honor to witness spread the word of God. I love you Grandpa. I am sorry we did not take more pictures together but I’ve so many memories to make me smile until we meet again. Rest easy. Love you,’ the superstar also wrote in the same caption.
Demi was not the only family member who paid tribute to Perry in a public manner.
Her mom, Dianna De La Garza, took to the comment section of her daughter’s post to write: ‘Our memories with him are better than pictures. #RIP Chief.’

It was also seemingly a way for the mom to comfort her daughter who was regretting not having more photos with Perry. Rest in Peace!
