Naga Munchetty: BBC Breakfast star speaks out on brutal clash with co-star 'Told me off!'

Naga Munchetty, 45, is a regular host on BBC Breakfast alongside Charlie Stayt, 58. The presenting duo recently raised eyebrows with a viewer as Naga was quizzed by a Twitter user if she had been “told off” by her co-star.

It comes after the BBC Breakfast broadcaster hosted Friday’s episode of the breakfast show.

The person in question took to the micro-blogging site and asked: “Do I note a tad coolness between you and Charlie this morning? Has he told you off for something? Still a great team though!”

Naga didn’t hold back as she made a cheeky admission about their on-screen relationship.

In view of her 217,000 Twitter followers, Naga joked: “He always tells me off!”

The TV anchor has also opened up about the time she suffered an injury during her first London marathon, as she candidly admitted she is “still angry” about it.

Speaking to her co-star Louise Minchin and triathlon presenter Annie Emmerson on their podcast Her Spirit, the TV star discussed the issues she faced.

Naga said her husband James Haggar had suffered an injury, but insisted he was “fine” and carried on.

But the BBC Breakfast presenter said 14 minutes into the marathon, she felt a “tweak” in her thigh which later caused her leg to buckle.

She explained: “I went off all fine and then at 14 miles I had a tweak in my thigh, in one of my hamstrings.

Naga continued to run the marathon, but experienced a further painful problem three minutes later.

Despite her pain, she managed to complete the marathon in four hours and 42 minutes.

She added: “I limped over and some friends met us and apparently I was grey, because I was in so much pain and I couldn’t walk for two weeks properly.”

BBC Breakfast airs weekdays on BBC One at 6am.
