Brendan Cole: Strictly star shares rare wedding snap of wife amid insight into marriage

Brendan Cole, 44, celebrated his 10-year marriage with wife Zoe Hobbs, as he shared a photo of their nuptials that took place in an idyllic Buckinghamshire church. The couple are currently spending time in their Mallorca home, where they have been living since before lockdown.

Brendan uploaded the photo to his Instagram account and wrote: “Happy wedding anniversary to this incredible woman! 10 years baby.

“What a day it was, what a happy life we have and what a beautiful family we have created. Love you @thezoec #wedding #10yearanniversary #marriage.”

In the black and white image, Zoe is seen wearing a stunning white gown complete with a hand-tied bouquet.

Celebrity friends of the couple were quick to post their joy at the heartfelt post.

The couple exchanged vows back in 2010 at St Nichola’s parish church in Nether Winchendon, Buckinghamshire.

They were joined by Brendan’s former Strictly colleague’s Anton Du Beke, Karen Hardy and the late Sir Bruce Forsyth.

In an online 2017 tribute to Brucie, Brendan recalled how he was one of the first people to welcome him on to Strictly.

He said: “In April 2004 at the Strictly Come Dancing pilot, Sir Bruce was one of the first to welcome me to the Strictly family.”

Brendan was one of the original professional dancers on the show and continued to perform up until 2018 when his contract was not renewed.

Speaking to Lorraine Kelly at the time, Brendan got choked up as he said it was “quite hard to talk about”.

He explained: “The BBC haven’t renewed my contract – we get renewed year on year – and they made an editorial decision not to have me back on the show.

“I’m a little bit in shock. I’m quite emotional, a bit raw about it.”
