McDonald's breakfasts: Is McDonald's breakfast menu available again?

McDonald’s have confirmed that the McMuffin and other breakfast favourites will be coming back to branches across the UK after being left off the fast-food chain’s reduced lockdown menu. The fast-food chain has started trialling breakfast in 42 restaurants after discontinuing it temporarily due to the coronavirus crisis.

Staff shortages and reduced supply chains meant McDonald’s had to temporarily close, and now its reopened the full menu is still not in place.

The full list of McDonald’s breakfast locations can be found on the website, as well as the breakfast menu which has been limited to ten items.

Unfortunately, customers won’t find wraps, bagels or porridge on the breakfast menu just yet, but will be able to get their hands on a range of McMuffins and pancakes.

McDonald’s UK and Ireland chief executive Paul Pomroy said: “As with our main menu, we will have a limited menu at breakfast but we’ve kept the classics – hash browns, McMuffins and pancakes all return.

“Unfortunately, whilst adhering to social distancing guidelines, we are unable to serve porridge, bagels and our breakfast wrap. This is because we have fewer people in the kitchen.”

When can I get a McDonald’s breakfast?

Unless you’re near one of the 42 trial restaurants, you’ll have to wait a little longer for your McMuffin fix.

While McDonald’s plans on rolling out breakfast service nationwide later in the summer, no fixed date has been set yet.

All restaurants reopened for takeaway, delivery and drive-thru have extensive social distancing and safety measures in place to protect staff and customers.
