Andrew Marr: Where is Andrew Marr? Why is Nick Robinson doing Andrew Marr show today?

The Andrew Marr Show has been on our screens for the past 15 years and plays a big part of people’s Sunday morning routines. The 60-year-old journalist and former BBC Political Editor usually invites well known politicians and public figures to the studio, quizzing them on some of the latest issues facing the country. There is also a review of the Sunday newspapers, weather forecast and news bulletin during the episode.

Where is Andrew Marr?

The Andrew Marr Show will start at 9am this morning, Sunday, June 21, where another round of guests is going to be grilled.

This week, MP Jonathan Ashworth, Professor Peter Piot, Sir Ian Diamond, Kristin Scott Thomas and Sir Nicholas Hytner will be on the show.

Journalists Laura Hughes and Hugh Pym will also be in attendance.

However, Andrew Marr himself will not be appearing this week.

Why is Nick Robinson doing Andrew Marr show today?

As Mr Marr won’t be presenting the show today, Nick Robinson will instead be taking his place on the show.

The news that Mr Robinson would be filling in for the Scottish journalist came out on Friday when the latter tweeted about his father’s death.

So for this week, Mr Robinson will be taking on the interviews as well as the usual look at the Sunday newspapers.
