The Saturday of Royal Ascot – which always draw the highest crowd – is the poorest card of the week normally but not this year and though I’ve said this numerous times before maybe this is the time that Ascot think about top-heavy-with-Group-Ones-Tuesday. David Johnson of Timeform agrees with me …

This week has shown there’s no need to be precious of running order based on precedent and reducing that top-heavy Group 1 Tuesday should be considered strongly on permanent basis.
