A growing list of women are accusing comedian and actor Chris D’Elia, 40, of sexual harassment and misconduct online, including accusations that he solicited sexually explicit photos from minors. D’Elia recently appeared in Season 2 of the Netflix series You as a comedian who is secretly a pedophile, and that role has prompted women to come forward with claims that the storyline is a lot closer to reality than people realize.
On June 16, a woman on Twitter named Simone Rossi started a thread about D’Elia’s role on You when she wrote: “I still can’t believe netflix cast chris d’elia as the pedophile in season two of ‘you’ like the literal IRONY.”

In the thread, Rossi posted screenshots of alleged DM conversations between her and D’Elia that took place when she was 16 years old. Some of the alleged communication showed the comedian asking Rossi to meet up after his stand-up performances and asking for photos.
“For the longest time i thought it was embarrassing for ME that i was interacting with this older man,” Rossi tweeted, “but he was the one who DM’d me on twitter and was the one who was twice my age and was the one that used the power imbalance between us to his advantage so f*ck chris d’elia.”
In another tweet, Rossi claimed that D’Elia – who was in his 30s at the time of the alleged messages – knew she was still in high school because her Instagram was covered in “high school football games and spirit days.”
After Rossi made her claims, more women started speaking up about their alleged online interactions with D’Elia. In some cases, the women claimed to be underage at the time of the communication.

Another woman, @michaelacoletta, tweeted that D’Elia solicited nude photos from her when she was 17 years old and constantly messaged her when he was in Vancouver. She claimed that the comedian would ask her to come backstage at his shows, and she isn’t surprised that multiple girls are coming forward with the exact same story.
“It’s a known fact he’s a f*cking perv and he plays those roles perfectly when acting lmao,” tweeted @michaelacoletta.

The @SheRatesDogs Twitter account also posted allegations against Chris D’Elia from multiple anonymous women. The account shared numerous screenshots of different conversations, with one claiming that it happened when she was just 14 years old and in middle school. Another claimed D’Elia used nude photos of an 18-year-old woman to try and blackmail her.
