Queen’s Brian May performs ‘for first time in many days’ after health struggles – WATCH

Queen’s Brian May has been through a lot during the lockdown. The 72-year-old ended up in hospital after ripping his gluteus maximus while gardening and told fans he also had a minor heart attack. The rock star has understandably been struggling, but recently shared a new video where he performed for fans.

The post read: “Bending Strings and Pondering Things.

“Well, I hesitated to include this as a micro concert.

“But it’s the first time I’ve picked up the guitar for many days of struggling to get there.

“No fireworks – just a first reacquaintance with my ‘voice’. So I’m sharing it.”

At the end of the video, the resilient May said: “Well, good to see you folks again.

“I have no words, but I’m happy to be kinda back on the horse, with my old lady here.

“God bless you all, let’s talk soon.”

Earlier this month, May was named Greatest Rock Guitarist of All Time.

The poll was made up of Total Guitar magazine readers.

May topped Eric Clapton, Eddie Van Halen, Jimmy Page and even Jimi Hendrix.

The 72-year-old said: “I’m absolutely speechless. I’m blown away. I have to say it’s completely unexpected.

“Obviously I’m deeply touched that people feel that way about me. I’m not under any illusions that, technically, I’m even on the tree of great guitarists.”
