Pierce Brosnan Claims He Lost Two Close Friends Due To Coronavirus

The Goldeneye alum, Pierce Brosnan, has reportedly lost two friends to the coronavirus, a new report from Bang Show Biz revealed. The actor recently asked for people to be more kind and also raise awareness about the “fragility of our planet.”

In the same message, he confirmed that two of his friends died on account of COVID-19, and they were close friends of his for 45 years. Brosnan said he is a godfather to one of their sons. Earlier this year, Pierce was working on a new movie for Disney, Cinderella when he suddenly had to rush home on account of the coronavirus pandemic.

Brosnan has several children, including Paris and Dylan, who are both in their late teens and early 20s. Brosnan and his wife have been spending a lot more time in Kauai, Hawaii, where they own a cottage. During a conversation with Parade Magazine, Pierce says he was already ready to go the moment he was told the pandemic was worsening.

He was told that he had to leave immediately and get back with his family, and the following day, Brosnan was on his way. Earlier this year, Brosnan was in the headlines for more positive reasons, including one of his interactions with Quentin Tarantino, the Once Upon A Time in Hollywood director.

Brosnan, during an interview, explained the time that he and Quentin Tarantino met up for drinks and discussed the idea of a James Bond movie. Quentin told him that he was easily the best James Bond of all time.

Many stars have portrayed James Bond over the years, including Sean Connery, Pierce Brosnan, Timothy Dalton, and now, Daniel Craig, who just finished filming his final flick.

Pierce Brosnan was James Bond for many years as well, including throughout the mid to late 1990s and the early 2000s. He first started with 1996’s Goldeneye and then his last film in the franchise was with Halle Berry, Die Another Day.
