In a time where the Black Lives Matter movement is tackling systematic racism in every area more than ever before, this is causing companies to look inward to see how they’re helping the fight against inequality. Bravo is doing their part as a division of Comcast Cable, NBCUniversal, and Sky Group.
Bravo has released the press release for a multi-year $100 million plan that will include social justice, employee training and hiring, awareness and education, digital equity, and small business funding.
The official Instagram account posted a statement that was also released by its sister stations that read: ‘Our $100 million comprehensive, multiyear plan will be focused on social justice, our employees, awareness & education, digital equity and small businesses. This includes: Social Justice: Partner with, and provide significant grants to, organizations working to eradicate injustice and inequality. Our Employees: Accelerate our efforts in all areas of Diversity & Inclusion, including hiring, advancement and anti-bias and anti-racism training. Awareness & Education: Put the full weight of our company’s media resources behind amplifying Black voices and Black stories, highlighting diverse cultures and shedding light on inequality. Digital Equity: Deepen our long-standing commitment to addressing digital inequities, which disproportionately impact communities of color, including connectivity and digital skills training. Small Businesses: Commit funds and media to help small businesses impacted by COVID-19, focused on businesses owned by people of color, and invest in minority entrepreneurs.’
They also aren’t just talking the talk — Bravo has fired four stars of Vanderpump Rules cast for their racially insensitive remarks and behavior.
Two of the four stars were original cast members who are the most popular on the show.

Additionally, Andy Cohen hosted an emergency Watch What Happens Live with Porsha Williams and Kamau Bell. The special aired in two parts on Monday and Tuesday night of this week where Porsha and Kamau shared their personal experiences with racism, activism, and how to move forward in the fight for equality.
