Floyd Mayweather Mocks Conor McGregor For Retiring Before They Could Have A Rematch!

After Conor McGregor announced his retirement from the UFC, his former opponent, Floyd Mayweather, took to social media to drag him for it! The latter mocked McGregor for giving up on his career before they could face each other again, despite him previously claiming that in a second match, he would definitely win.

Now, Mayweather told him that if he ever decides to come back to the sport, he will be waiting in the boxing ring to ‘punish’ him again!

It all started with Conor posting a pic of a big chocolate cake from his kids that read: ‘Happy Retirement Daddy.’

The post marked the third time in the last four years that Conor went into retirement.

As mentioned before, his former opponent in the ring did not waste any time to throw some shade at him.

Floyd antagonized him by pointing out that he did not remain a pro fighter long enough for the two of them to face each other once more and get his revenge.

He wrote: ‘If I’m not mistaken, didn’t you tell Mike Tyson you could beat me if we fought a second time? Now you are quitting! I thought that you wanted to beat the best? Well, if you ever decide to come back, I’ll be waiting to punish you again,’

It looks like many of his fans agreed since the post got over 40k likes in less than a day!

As you may remember, Mayweather came out of retirement back in 2017 to fight McGregor in what turned out to be the most hyped and most profitable fights in the history of the sport!

Furthermore, while Conor lost due to a technical knock-out at the time, he seemed to hint he was up for a rematch just less than a month ago!

‘It was a great contest, just watched it back! Early rounds all mine, and even later rounds when legs were gone, I still out-landed him. I received my credit from many notable names in the boxing world, which I was thankful for. None more so than from Mike (Tyson). Excited for part 2,’ he tweeted in May.
