Ice-T, one of the cast and crew members of Law and Order: Special Victims Unit, praised its executive and creator, Dick Wolf after he fired one of the staffers who threatened looters with a social media image of himself holding what appeared to be an automatic weapon.
Page Six picked up on a social media message today from Ice-T in which he praised the Law and Order creator for making the decision. Ice-T wrote in response to the news, “Oh, s**t, The Big Boss is cleaning house…RESPECT.”
As it was previously reported by Page Six, Craig Gore, one of the writers who worked on series such as Chicago PD and SWAT, was dropped from Dick Wolf’s new Law and Order spin-off series after he revealed several tweets condemning looters, and also threatening them at the same time.
In a statement to Variety, Dick Wolf wrote that he wouldn’t tolerate such behavior, and he was going to terminate Craig Gore’s employment immediately. Gore wrote on social media that he was going to “light motherf*ckers up” who try and mess with his property, regarding the protests and riots in LA on Monday.
Gore’s social media posts set off a cascade of negative responses. Drew Janda, who worked on shows such as Barry, Big Little Lies, and Greenleaf, was the one to shine a light on Gore’s messages. Moreover, Paradigm, who represents Gore, cut ties with the writer as well.
On his Facebook profile, Gore described himself as the co-executive producer of Law and Order: Organized Crime, a series starring Chris Meloni. It’ll air on NBC.
In response to the controversy, Christopher Meloni, the star of the upcoming spin-off series, said he had no idea who the man was and didn’t know what he did either.
Around the same time, the SWAT creators released a statement in which they called for people to deescalate tensions rather than exacerbate them.

Reportedly, Gore has worked in the entertainment business for years, including on the DEA series, Chicago PD, and SWAT.
