On Wednesday night, the singer-songwriter, Beyoncé, took to her social media to share her thoughts on the killing of George Floyd as well as the worldwide protests that kicked off as a result. E! Online reported that Beyoncé expressed herself candidly following the news that an additional three officers involved were also arrested.

As it was previously reported, the Attorney General, Keith Ellison, revealed earlier this week that Tou Thao, Thomas Lane, and J.A. Keung were charged in relation to the death of George Floyd. Court documents obtained by the aforementioned outlet claim that the men involved are facing a number of felony charges.

The charges are as follows: abetting second-degree manslaughter and aiding and abetting second-degree murder. Floyd died on the 25th of May after Derek Chauvin pressed his knee up against the man’s neck as he laid on the ground. He died from asphyxiation.

Chauvin was taken into police custody on the 29th of May and was slapped with a number of charges, including second-degree manslaughter and also third-degree murder. Since then, the Attorney General, Ellison, revealed Chauvin’s charges were pushed up to second-degree murder.

Beyoncé Knowles has spoken about the tragedy of George Floyd’s death before, including when she urged her fans to stand against racism. Beyonce said that the whole world witnessed George’s death, and everyone is “broken and we’re disgusted.”

Beyonce called on everyone, regardless of their race, to stand against racism and no longer look at people as existing only in relation to their color. She says that people must consider each other as “humans.” “We can no longer look away,” Beyonce added.
