Ciara is the latest celebrity to use her voice on social media in the aftermath of the George Floyd killing. The singer took to her online platform to share a touching message dedicated to her son, Future, in which she expressed how much she wishes for ‘unity’ as well as a brighter tomorrow with no racism for him to encounter and fear.
She posted a photo that features her and the cute 6 year old and in the caption, she called for a very necessary change.
‘My sweet Baby Boy. I pray that when you get older A CHANGE will have finally come!! I am going to keep my FAITH! I am praying that the losses of our Black Kings and Queens won’t be in vain. Enough is Enough!! Praying for UNITY! I am praying for the powers that be to unite and decide that it is time for a change!’ she wrote alongside the snapshot.
As fans know, the songstress is also the mom of a 3 year old daughter she shares with husband Russell Wilson!
Furthermore, the married couple is currently expecting their second child together.
That being said, and with all that has been happening lately, it makes sense that she fears for her offspring’s future in such an unfair society.
Her important message comes amid pretty explosive protests in the name of George Floyd, a 46 year old man who lost his very life after being pinned down with a knee on his neck by a policeman for over 9 minutes!
Despite him complaining about not being able to breathe, the killer did not even stop and Floyd’s death has sparked outrage.

Derek Chauvin, the police officer who was caught on camera by bystanders kneeling on Floyd’s neck has been taken into custody and charged with murder and manslaughter while the other officers who were there as well, were fired.
