Myka Stauffer Dragged By The Internet For Giving Up Her Adopted Toddler To Another Home — Says He Agreed To It

Youtuber Myka Stauffer has monetized videos off the adoption of her now former son Huxley. The mommy blogger recently shared a video where she revealed that she ‘rehomed’ the toddler due to his special needs.

Owner of The Stauffer Life Youtube channel often included 2 and 1/2 Huxley who was adopted from China and suffered from autism.

When the now 4-year-old went missing from social media posts, subscribers became curious. After the vlogger wrote a troubling message about Mother’s Day being the ‘hardest’ holiday, followers knew something serious must have taken place.

This is when the mom of four came back to her channel along with her husband to explain that she gave the child away to someone who was better equipped to care for him medically.

This enraged viewers.

After US Weekly shared the story to their Instagram page,  the comments poured in.

‘Rehoming is not a thing . They 👏🏼abandoned 👏🏼 him👏🏼.’ simply wrote one.

‘YOU DO NOT REHOME A CHILD!!! IN ANY KIND OF CIRCUMSTANCES YOU GUYS TAKE HIM LIKE A PUPPY AND WHEN THINGS GETS TOUGH YOU DECIDE TO GET RID OF HIM????!!!!!! EHAT A NERVE OF THESE 2.’ added another.

People also took notice of the fact that the Youtuber claimed that the child 100 percent wanted it.

‘Let’s take all the responsibility as adults when making this decision and put it ALL on the child?!?! Are you f’ing kidding me?!?! As the parent you are supposed to protect and care for your child no matter what!!! That’s your job as a parent!! And also shame on the news for posting this over and over and over and over and over again. Take her down and stop posting about her’ this concerned follower wrote.

‘He was 4. I’m sure he also wants to eat kids meals every day. As the parent, your job is to say no. Also- I have a child with SPD and ASD and wow. It is the hardest thing I have ever had to go through, but never in my life would I have thought, hey I can’t handle Jacob. Let’s rehome him. I also don’t have a vlog and blog that shows how perfect my life is and how great of a parent I am. Maybe if I did, my son wouldn’t fit into my perceived vision of a perfect life,’ added.
