Scott Disick and Sofia Richie have officially split after three years of dating, according to multiple sources. It isn’t clear just how long it will last, as the couple has broken up before. One insider claims that it is very likely “they will reconcile,” but another believes that Richie has had enough of Disick.
A source told Page Six that Richie ended the relationship because Disick “had gone back to his old ways” and she was finally “fed up.” However, a second insider told E! News that Richie simply wants to “do her own thing” while Disick “takes care of his health.”
“Sofia thinks Scott has a lot on his plate right now and thinks it’s best for them to be apart so he can focus on himself,” dished the second source. “She is only looking out for him and his best interest and it was primarily her decision for them to split. Sofia has been spending time with her family and has taken the majority of her stuff out of Scott’s house.”
The breakup news comes after Disick celebrated his 37th birthday with his baby momma, Kourtney Kardashian, and the rest of the Kar-Jenner family. Richie has not appeared in any of the pics from the celebration.
The split also comes after the Flip It Like Disick star attempted to get mental health treatment at a facility in Colorado, but was forced to check out after his presence at the facility was leaked to the media.
At the time, a source said that Richie wants to make sure that Disick is getting the help he needs before they can be in a healthy relationship. She wasn’t ready to call it quits then, but now she is ready to at least spend some time apart.
The insider also claimed that Disick was still very upset and angry about what happened at the treatment facility, and he has laid low in recent weeks because of it. He does want to get treatment, but he is taking his time to find a facility that is “reliable” and won’t take advantage of him.
Now that his relationship with Sofia Richie is over, Scott Disick is leaning on Kourtney Kardashian, claims the insider. Kourtney knows how to handle her ex, explained the source, and he is “always in a better headspace when he gets to spend time with his kids.”
