What makes a cult classic video game? It’s the combination of a lot of unique elements, some weird, some great, that creates a charm that can’t be replicated. EarthBound has that charm, and on a second playthrough of it I feel like I can appreciate this game even more. People are usually introduced to this classic JRPG when they see Ness in Smash Bros. They think to themselves “So THAT’S where you came from!” And then they discover a gem of a game with it’s amazing music and timeless themes.
