A lot of Bachelor fans were convinced that Caelynn Miller-Keyes would become the next Bachelorette when she did not get the final rose during Colton Underwood’s season! However, as you know, that did not end up happening and Hannah Brown took that title instead even though she came in seventh place.
Now, during an interview for iHeartRadio’s Almost Famous podcast, Caelynn opened up about what she felt at the time, revealing that she was ‘hurt’ upon learning about the production team’s decision to go with Hannah as the next Bachelorette.
The celeb recalled while chatting with co-hosts Ben Higgins and Ashley Iaconetti Haibon that ‘I remember getting the call that it was not me for Bachelorette and I was just like, ‘Dang! That kind of sucks.’ And I found out it was [Hannah] at Women Tell All. It hurt. It definitely hurt. It stung and I was so upset and was kind of led to believe it was mine and then suddenly it was not. It was Hannah’s. Looking back on previous seasons, it has always been in the top 4 and then to branch out and to pick Hannah, it just hurt.’
Caelynn stressed that she does not hold any grudges against Hannah since it was not even her fault anyway.
However, some of the podcast listeners think there might be more to the story than people know.
‘I felt like I was….I have just so many thoughts on the issues,’ the former Bachelor contestant mentioned.
As fans know, she went on to join Bachelor in Paradise where she and Dean Unglert developed a connection and it sounds like the two are very happy together.

She previously gushed over him during an interview for E! News saying that ‘It has been so much fun because he brings out a different side of me. Our relationship’s different than any other ones I have had. He challenges and pushes me in different ways. He takes me skydiving and puts me on the back of a motorcycle. He brings out the adventure side of me but challenges me intellectually as well.’
