According to a new insider report, Mary-Kate Olsen and Olivier Sarkozy’s marriage came to an end for the simple reason that they were at different places in their lives! As you may know, ET was the first to report earlier his month that the former actress and current designer had requested an emergency divorce order!
She previously tried to do the same last month.
However, just last week, her petition was denied since it was not considered an urgent matter amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Still, they managed to make many headlines because of their unexpected separation and that came with a lot of speculations and questions about it.
More precise, what was the reason? The insider tells HollywoodLife that the French banker wanted Mary-Kate to be a stay-at-home wife, which was very different from what he first wished, earlier in their relationship.
‘Olivier was very attracted to Mary-Kate’s ambition and success. He very much respects her work ethic and he is beyond proud of everything she’s ever accomplished. Her career’s a big part of who she is, and he’d never want to change who she is,’ the source dished.
They went on to stress that his perception on work had changed: ‘He has worked incredibly hard his whole career and is now at a point where he wants to slow down and enjoy his life.’
As a result, he wanted to go on vacations with friends and their wives since many of them don’t work and they can spontaneously join him whenever.
The same can obviously not be said about Mary-Kate.
After all, she has a very packed schedule and was unable to leave her obligations and go on vacations all the time.

The insider stressed that back when both of them had similar schedules, their marriage worked perfectly but now that was no longer the case.
