Vicki Gunvalson Explains Why She Asked Fans To ‘Boycott’ ‘RHOC!’

Vicki Gunvalson previously asked fans to boycott the 15th season of the Real Housewives of Orange County and now she went on to explain why on her latest podcast episode! As you know, Vicki has pretty much helped build the series from the ground up so a lot of people were pretty confused as to why she would call for RHOC to get boycotted.

This comes after she also decided not to be part of the cast anymore as the new season starts.

On her Whoop It Up with Vicki podcast, she dished that ‘I love Bravo, but they do not love me, so when someone said something about the show’s going to go down without you I am like, ‘Just boycott it!’ I do not really mean for them to be boycotted. — The truth is, I don’t believe the show is going to be strong without us [she and Tamra Judge].’

‘It was 11 or 12 o’clock at night after I was done working and someone said, ‘The show isn’t going to be the same show without you and Tamra on it,’ and I then said, ‘Just boycott it then.’ And it came out,’ Vicki went on to explain via HollywoodLife.

It’s no secret by now that both Vicki and Tamra chose not to come back to the show that made them famous starting with season 15.

Their decision followed their demotion from Housewives to ‘Friends of the Housewives’ roles.

And of course, Vicki is well aware that it was her choice to leave but she also acknowledged that the network did not hesitate when it comes to not offering her a full time role.

‘It was a one sentence in the fact that if the ratings are down, then they are going to realize they made a mistake,’ she dished, adding that in her opinion, the show is not going to thrive without her and Tamra anyway, even if she did not ask for it to be boycotted.
