Vanessa Bryant Finds One Last Unopened Love Letter From Kobe And Opens It On Her Birthday

The mourning Vanessa Bryant found a letter from Kobe and she waited until her birthday today to open it. The said letter was addressed to ‘the love of [his] life,’ and preserved in a yellow envelope.

Vanessa took to social media to share it on her platform and it must have been a really bittersweet thing to find given the fact that it is the last love letter she will ever receive from her husband.

As you probably remember, the Lakers player tragically lost his life in a helicopter crash that took place on January 26 in Calabasas.

Their secondborn daughter, Gianna, 13, also passed away in the same accident, alongside seven other people.

As much tragedy as she had to suffer, Vanessa has been exceptionally strong for their other daughters.

So she was really looking forward to reading her late husband’s words one more time but she held on to opening it one more day so she could make it even more special by reading it on her birthday.

Vanessa took a pic of her holding the envelope, her hand covering the words written in black ink.

‘Yesterday I found an envelope labeled To: The Love of my Life. From, Tu Papi,’ she wrote in the caption. I waited to open one more letter on my birthday. It gave me something to look forward to today. The irony is that Kobe had a photo of me drawn with an Angel holding me up by an artist on the cover. Missing the Love of my Life and my sweet little Mamacita – my fellow Taurus.’

She was, of course, referring to their late daughter, Gigi who would have turned 14 years old on May 1.

Sure enough, the pained mom also honored her on that day as well in different post.

‘Grateful to wake up to my 3 sweet girls today. Wish we were all together. #MyBirthdayWish,’ Vanessa ended her post today.
