Katy Perry is expecting her first child amid a global pandemic so it might be a bit stressful for her. The singer and her actor fiance, Orlando Bloom are apparently quite worried about giving birth while the quarantine is still going on but they are making sure to be ready for anything!
One insider report claims to know that while they are definitely concerned, Katy and Orlando are not letting the nerves get the best of them.
Being prepared for any situation is the only thing they can do to try and avoid a crisis to the best of their ability.
Obviously, Katy never expected she would have to welcome her first child amid a pandemic but this is her reality and she’s trying to get used to it.
One source tells HollywoodLife that she ‘doesn’t want to scare herself over things she can’t fully control, she is speaking with the best doctors, and she is more than prepared to have her kid during the pandemic. Of course, Katy is excited and antsy about the pregnancy as a whole, but loves getting to eat like crazy and she is taking it all in stride. She is taking all the necessary precautions for the baby and will not let the negative thoughts take over.’
While she is understandably nervous, ‘she’s handling this pregnancy like everything else she does in life — like a total pro,’ another insider went on to dish to the same news outlet.
They also mentioned that she’s looking at the positive side of this whole thing which is that they’ll one day be able to tell their daughter the crazy story of when she was born.
Another source claims that the parents to be are seriously considering having a home birth at this point since it might be safer amid the outbreak.

Besides, the singer has some experience with this since she helped her sister back in 2014 with her own home birth.
