James Woods Replies To Alyssa Milano’s Anti-Gun PSA By Telling Everyone To ‘Buy More Ammo’

Who’s The Boss alum Alyssa Milano has been a vocal political activist during the #MeToo movement, and now she is continuing to share her beliefs amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Gun purchases have increased during the outbreak – with many Americans concerned about civil unrest – but Milano believes guns aren’t the answer. However, after she voiced that opinion, James Woods fired back with his own advice.

The 47-year-old actress took to Twitter this week to share some gun stats with her followers, and she also urged people to not purchase firearms.

“Americans bought over 2 million firearms in March of 2020, over a million more than this time last year. We have to keep each other safe by social distancing and washing our hands and not bringing dangerous firearms into our homes. #StopTheCoronavirusGunSurge #NoRA,” wrote Milano.

Milano explained that uncertain times can result in panic, but she doesn’t believe “stockpiling weapons” is the appropriate response. Milano believes that could have “dire consequences for our own personal safety and those around us.”

The actress is concerned that the weapons people are buying today could end up being used in households, schools, churches, bars, and on the streets in the future. Milano says we all have to look out for each other, and then she begged her followers to share her video so they “stop the coronavirus gun surge.”

“We can’t lose anymore lives to guns during this pandemic or after it’s over,” said Milano.

In response, Woods retweeted Milano’s clip and quipped: “Thank you for the reminder. When the looting starts, always be prepared. Buy more ammo!”

Fans also pointed out that Milano owns guns and asked why she would post an anti-gun PSA. Alyssa Milano confirmed that she lives in a “two gun household,” but then added that it isn’t news and she believes in the 2nd Amendment. She concluded by saying that she agrees with the “90 percent of Americans who want stricter gun laws,” and says that it should be impossible for certain people to get their hands on certain guns.

Milano wrapped up her post by saying it was “pretty logical stuff,” even though she provided no evidence to back up her position or give any explanation as to who those “certain people” are that shouldn’t have their hands on “certain guns.”
