Great news for the diehard One Direction fans! Former member of the famous boy band, Liam Payne, hinted that there is something really special coming up for the band’s 10 year anniversary! This is definitely very exciting since 1D has been on hiatus since 2016.
Furthermore, he even gushed over former bandmate, Harry Styles’ brand new solo music!
During an interview for The Sun, Liam dished that: ‘We’ve got a ten year anniversary coming up so we have all been speaking a lot over the last few weeks which has been very nice.’
As you probably remember, the band was formed after they all participated on X Factor back in 2010 so it’s indeed already been a decade since! How time flies!
The star went on to discuss what exactly they have in store to mark the anniversary, saying that there are many different ideas being taken into consideration at this point.
Obviously, however, he could not go into much detail as it would ruin the surprise.
‘To hear a lot of people’s voices and also seeing old content and different things we haven’t seen in a long time or even seen before, it is very interesting. At the moment I am not sure what I am allowed to say. There is a number of different things we are all working on to try and make happen and people are forwarding emails all around. But more than anything it has just been a real good time for us to just connect together again,’ Liam told the news outlet.
Naturally, he was only talking about spending virtual time together since everyone is currently in quarantine due to the coronavirus, COVID-19 pandemic.
As mentioned before, he also praised Harry after his single Adore You earned him a no. 1 spot on Billboard’s Pop Songs chart!

‘It’s amazing and everyone has had such great success. It has been great hearing a lot of Harry’s stuff at the moment. ‘Adore You,’ I see it on the charts all the time. I think he has really found his sound which is a joy to watch,’ Liam gushed over his former bandmate.
