A mother was left shaken after finding baby dolls on Amazon as she searched for sex aids.

Rachel Raines, 30, from Leigh, Greater Manchester, was so disgusted by the lifelike figure that she said she was unable to buy any adult toys.

As soon as she saw the item she told boyfriend Dean Ellison and they reported the listing.

However, unhappy with their response time, Rachel has now vowed not to shop on Amazon again.

She said: ‘I felt physically sick. It literally turned my stomach. It’s disgusting. I’ve got a two-year-old little boy and when you see that, you think of them.

‘I went on to Amazon, typed in “sex toy” and I was scrolling through. About 20 images down, [the baby doll] came up. It was very strange.

‘I clicked on the picture thinking “why is this there?” and there are three other reviews on there asking why it was on the adult content page.

‘It had been on there since last year, it’s been on a while, and Amazon haven’t done anything.

‘It was just horrendous. I didn’t buy anything after that. It obviously put me off.’

Amazon removed the post overnight and are investigating, but Rachel still thinks they did not act swiftly enough.

Rachel added: ‘It makes me question why anyone would want to sell anything like that and why would it be posted in the sex category on Amazon.

‘There weren’t any other [children’s] toys – nothing at all. I contacted customer services on the app and they just sent the copy and paste message they send to everyone. That was at 6pm last night.

‘I put a post on my profile because I wanted people to report it. A lot of my friends have reported it but it was still up there at midnight when I went to bed.

‘They hadn’t any urgency about removing it at all. The link is now saying that the toy’s unavailable, but you can still see the reviews.

‘I got up this morning and checked it and it said unavailable, so they did that overnight. I won’t buy from Amazon again after this.’

The doll Rachel discovered has since been removed from Amazon however other dolls still appear as suggestions when searching for ‘sex toy’ on the website [as of midday Friday].
