The Australian Open at Melbourne Park is the first tennis grand slam of the season and runs from January 20 to February 2. For the first time since 2006, 23-time grand slam winner Serena Williams failed to pass the third round in the tournament. In men’s singles, Novak Dojokovic faced Dominic Thiem in the final.
