Tekashi 6ix9ine Will Get Out Of Prison In August

Reports claimed on Monday that Tekashi 6ix9ine, née Daniel Hernandez, is scheduled for release in August of 2020 due to his stellar behavior in the big house. As most know, Tekashi 6ix9ine was quick to tell federal agents everything they wanted to know regarding his involvement with the New York City gang, Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods.

The Bureau of Prisons Inmate Locator claims that Hernandez, who served the majority of his time in a private location due to fearing for his life, will be released on the 2nd of August. The Gummo artist was sentenced to two years behind bars back in December for working with the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods.

The rapper, initially, faced off against a litany of very serious charges, including racketeering and conspiracy which commonly come with decades in a federal penitentiary. However, Tekashi 6ix9ine, due to infighting with his associates, told federal agents whatever they wanted to know.

Hernandez was credited for the year and one month he spent in jail while awaiting his sentence. During a conversation with Complex, his attorney, Dawn Florio, claimed that the reason why he’s getting released earlier is that he was well behaved.

As was noted above, Daniel Hernandez faced decades behind bars after he pled guilty to racketeering and other charges, but he cooperated with federal agents and his sentence was reduced dramatically.

Prosecutors asked for the judge to go easy on him due to his cooperation as a “stellar witness.”

In January, Tekashi 6ix9ine and his legal team asked for him to serve his time at home due to fear over his life. However, Paul Engelmayer, the judge overseeing the case in Manhattan, handed down a sentence that was meant to “reflect” the severity of what he did.

When the young man is finally let out of jail, he’ll serve another 300 hours of community service and also has to drop $35,000 for a fine. Reports last year claimed that Tekashi 6ix9ine had already started working with other record labels following his arrest, despite his precarious reputation in the hip-hop community.
