Tesco and Asda issue urgent food recall on veggie burger due to undeclared allergens

Customers who have recently shopped at Tesco or Asda must check their fridges and freezers after an urgent recall warning was issued by the Food Standard Agency (FSA), about a brand sold in their stores. The FSA put out a health warning after a product containing milk was not declared on the label.

“Instead return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund or call Oumph! Customer Care – +46 (0) 708 923265.”

The product details affected by the recall are below:

Oumph! The Burger

Pack size: 226g (2x113g)

Batch code: All

Best Before: 22 July 2021

Allergens: Milk

DON’T MISS

Oumph! products can be picked up from ASDA, Tesco, Holland & Barrett, Whole Foods Market, As Nature Intended as well as many independent stores.

So customers who have recently shopped at these stores are being urged to check their fridges and freezers.

Food for Progress is recalling the above product from customers and has been advised to contact the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall.

The company has also issued a point-of-sale notice to its customers.

Tesco and Asda also issued urgent food recalls over other products sold in their stores.

John West Sardines in Tomato Sauce, 120g, sold at Asda is being recalled as a precautionary measure due to suspected bacterial contamination in a small batch of swollen cans.

Spring Home TYJ Spring Roll Pastry, 550G, sold at Tesco is being recalled because it may contain milk not declared on the label, making them a potential health risk for anyone allergic to milk.
