Chip & Joanna Gaines Reveal New Original Series For Their Magnolia Network

Former Fixer Upper stars Chip and Joanna Gaines will be launching their new Magnolia Network later this year. This week, the couple revealed one of the original shows that will be part of the lineup.

Joanna told People magazine via a press release that when she and Chip set out on the journey of starting their network, they did so knowing that they wanted to tell stories of people who are chasing big dreams for the right reasons.

The new series Growing Floret is the perfect example of that, says Joanna. Cameras will follow Erin Benzakein, the founder of Floret Flower Farm, as she and her team work on a year-long project that aims to turn a problematic 20-acre piece of land in the state of Washington into a sustainable organic flower farm.

“Ever since discovering the incredible team behind Growing Floret, I have been endlessly inspired by the grit, hard work, and beauty that they’re putting into the world,” said Joanna. “We are so excited to tell more of their story as they take the courageous steps to expand their flower farm and grow their business.”

Benzakein says that she has been working hard for nearly 15 years to grow beautiful flowers and build a farm. She says that she will openly share the highs and lows and all that she has learned during the process of building a successful business. Benzakein also hopes to inspire others to follow their dreams and live a more meaningful life.

Benzakein – who moved from Seattle to the Skagit Valley in Washington over ten years ago to build an organic flower business – says that it is a tremendous honor to join Chip and Joanna Gaines’ new network and have her family’s story told in such a heartfelt, authentic way.

In addition to her new TV series, Benzakein is also a New York Times bestselling author thanks to her book A Year in Flowers.

Other shows that the Gaineses have announced for the Magnolia Network include a six-episode series titled Home on the Road, which features Chip and Joanna’s friends Abner and Amanda Ramirez from the band Johnnyswim who tour North America with their small children: Joaquin, 4, and Luna, 1.

Joanna Gaines will also host a cooking show that will feature special guests and recipes from her Magnolia Table cookbooks, as Volume 2 is currently available for pre-order. And, of course, the network will also be the home of the entire Fixer Upper library.
