Co-op issue urgent food recall on popular sandwich over metal fears – check affected item

Co-op, the popular supermarket brand, has issued a food warning and recall via the Food Standard Agency (FSA) over fears of the possible presence of metal in one of their popular meal-deal sandwiches. What should you do once the recall has been issued?

A statement on the FSA website reads:”If you have bought the above product do not eat it.

“Instead, return the product to nearest Co-op store for a refund or contact customer care.”

Co-op is recalling the above product due to the possible presence of metal.

The company has also issued point-of-sale notices and will display them in retail stores that are selling this product.

These notices explain to customers why the products are being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the products.

Those who have bought the product are being urged not to eat the food to avoid the safety risk.

Instead, customers can return Co-op’s Chicken & Stuffing Sandwich to their nearest store for a full refund.

A food recall was issued for Marks & Spencer’s M&S Chicken Bites product as the items may contain egg which is not mentioned on the label.

FSA warned: “Marks & Spencer is recalling M&S Chicken Bites because they contain egg which is not mentioned on the label.

“This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to egg.”

Those who have bought the product are being urged not to eat the food to avoid risk.
