If you’re looking to upgrade to a newer iPhone model, there are some brilliant options available. iPhone XR and iPhone 11 are consistently the best-selling entries in the best-selling smartphone series as these models include many of the features you’ll find on the priciest models – like Face ID facial recognition, an edge-to-edge screen, the flagship processor – but without the costlier stainless steel frame, fewer rear-firing cameras, and no OLED panel.
For most buyers, these corners are all worth cutting – especially given the £300 or so price difference between the flagship and the “more affordable” entry. Thankfully, with this phenomenal new deal from EE, you won’t have to make any sacrifices.

That is less than EE charges for an iPhone XR, which cost significantly less SIM-free when it launched alongside the iPhone XS in September 2018.
The latest deal includes an iPhone XS with 64GB of built-in storage. For £23 a month, you’ll enjoy 4GB of speedy 4G data on EE as well as unlimited minutes and unlimited texts.

The only thing you’ll need to worry about is the upfront cost – which clocks in at £199. Given the flagship phone cost £999 SIM-free at launch, that’s not a bad deal at all. But it’s more than you might expect to pay with a typical pay monthly contract, so worth warning about.
The EE deal is a two-year contract, so it’ll be a little while before you can switch to a newer model again too. But with some of the latest and greatest iPhone camera capabilities, processor and more under the bonnet, why would you want to?
