One thing which is clear is Raising Kanan will be referring to the parent series and what’s to come.
For example, the stinger scene at the end of Power showed Angie holding a prospectus for the Choate School, where she’s thinking of going.
A young Ghost asks her about the school and it serves as a nice link between the original and prequel series with Power fans aware the New York drug dealer sent his son Tariq St Patrick (Michael Rainey Jr) to Choate.
Although Tariq got kicked out of Choate, the fact he went there in the first place reveals what a huge impact Angela had on Ghost.
Raising Kanan is likely to also answer mysteries from Power including the enigmatic Breeze, a drug dealer who died before the events of the show.
Fans have only got snippets of what happened to Breeze and how he was murdered but Raising Kanan is expected to finally reveal all.
Speaking about Power Book III, 50 Cent previously told Ryan Seacrest: “Power Book II will be on in the same time slot as Power. In June it’ll be back on.
“We’ve got Power Book III; it’s Raising Kanan and that one is in the last stages of casting right now.
“We’re doing that right now, and the third one is in the writers’ room—Power Book IV is in the writers’ room.”
