Flesh and Blood comes to an end this evening, but the four-part ITV drama has definitely been one that has gripped the nation. Turning the classic whodunnit on its head, fans have been wracking their brains to work out who did what and to who.

With multiple suspects and multiple victims, it’s been a tricky one to piece together.

But in the penultimate episode that aired last night, lay a glaring clue that hinted what’s to come.

Fans noticed that suspicious Mark (Stephen Rea) made an error as he was packing for his and Vivien’s (Francesca Annis) six week trip to India.

Possibly the biggest suspect since the beginning, the “surgeon” has had viewers wondering whether he will be the killer.

With many things not convincing about him – his job, no photos of his daughter – it’s likely Mark has something to hide.

With extravagant plans for him and his partner, who he met through an online dating site, is it all part of a secret plot to steal Vivien’s money?

Gentle manipulation perhaps as he actually intends to travel to India alone?

Fans believe he will have attacked her as part of a final plan to murder for money, but will they be correct?

Already under suspicion for killing his his ex wife, who died by overdose, there is definitely a chance that she could be his next victim.

Last night, fans watched as Mark packed for their long trip to Asia, but they have a few questions about the essentials he was taking with him.

Taking to Twitter, viewers shared their thoughts and suspicions about what could happen in tonight’s final episode.

“Hope he’s packing more than that for 6 weeks in India #FleshAndBlood,” one said.

Another exclaimed: “One shirt for 6 weeks in India!!! I don’t think so!! #FleshAndBlood.”

“6 weeks in India and he packs 1 shirt and a few bare essentials… #fleshandblood,” a third laughed.

Could the light packing mean that Mark is isn’t planning on going anywhere once he’s killed his partner?

Vivien has started to doubt that Mark is the man she thought he was, as her children continue to warn her that she was rushing into their relationship.

And, with Mark keen to get her to India, Jake (Russell Tovey), Helen (Claudie Blakley) and Natalie (Lydia Leonard) rallied round to put a stop to the idea.

As the family gathered for Vivien’s birthday drinks, along with odd neighbour Mary (Imelda Staunton), viewers saw a fight breaking out between Jake and Mark.

But what could this mean?

All will be revealed tonight, but it seems the general consensus is that the glaring error in Mark’s plan could be his downfall.

The final episode of Flesh and Blood concludes tonight at 9pm on ITV.
