Ali (played by James Burrows) has been locked in a tricky love triangle with villain Gary Windass (Mikey North) and Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon) for some months on Coronation Street. Whilst he has been desperately trying to win back his ex-girlfriend, the hairdresser’s current boyfriend has also developed a rivalry with Adam (Sam Robertson) who marries his former lover Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) in scenes airing next week on the ITV soap. In the background, the hot shot lawyer has been planning on bringing the loan shark down and when an opportunity arises, he could place another resident in deadly danger.
The drama kicks off next week when Adam ties-the-knot with Sarah in possibly one of the less dramatic weddings the soap has ever seen.
Whilst they wallow in their jubilation, it becomes clear the groom is already making plans to ensure Gary doesn’t meddle in his relationship.
Joining the villain’s other love rival in the Rovers Return, the hot shot lawyer works on getting something which will divert the loan shark to turn his attentions to Ali.
However, even the Weatherfield heartthrob is taken aback when the GP admits he’s had a recent fling with Maria after the pair slept together a couple of weeks ago and it’s not long before the newly wedded husband is stirring the pot – but will he place his neighbour in the firing line?

Despite Maria getting engaged to Gary after her one night stand, her actions haven’t stopped her ex-boyfriend from spiralling into despair he’s lost her.
Knowing the repercussions which he could be subjected to if the secret fling were to come to light, Ali asks Adam to stay quiet.
After promising to harbour the information about the GP’s dalliance, Adam may have a change of heart when his love rival approaches him on the cobbles.
With him and Sarah about to go on their honeymoon, the groom is riled to see the loan shark lurking around and goes to drop a bombshell.

Gary actor Mikey, 33, has recently spoke out about what his character’s reaction would be if he were to discover his fiancé’s secret fling.
The soap star said: “I think Gary has seen the error of his ways, but if he were to find out about Maria and Ali, I think that could send him off the rails again.”
Adding further intrigue to the villain claims another life, a source told The Sun regarding Ali’s exit: “He’s at war with murderer Gary Windass over ex Maria Connor and the pair will be involved in a brutal showdown on the cobbles soon.”
Viewers will have to wait and see if a death does occur, but with a showdown imminent between the warring men, an exit will happen in some kind of form.
Fans have recently voiced their own theories about the GP’s death, taking to social media as they believe death is on the horizon.
One wrote on Twitter: “Gary is going to kill Ali when he finds out they’ve slept together #corrie.”
Another added: “Ali’s got a death wish going after Gary #Corrie xx.”
