There’s a public memorial service underway in downtown LA in order to honor the great NBA player, Kobe Bryant, and his daughter, Gianna Bryant. Vanessa Bryant delivered the most emotional eulogy for her daughter, and you can see it in the video below.
Vanessa opened up about her soul mate as well, and she recalled how he was in a relationship. She also called him the best girl dad who taught their four daughters how to be brave and keep pushing forward when things get tough.’
About Gigi, Vanessa said, ‘She was daddy’s girl, but I know she loved her mama, and continued: ‘She was one of my very best friends.’
Also, Sabrina Ionescu, who is a basketball player at the University of Oregon and who became a mentor for Gigi, called the girl ‘the future’ of women’s basketball.
According to reports coming from ABCNews, she said the following:
‘She always wanted to learn, to go to every came she could — college, NBA, WNBA,’ she said. She continued and said: ‘Kobe was helping with that because he saw it in her. Just like he saw it in me.’
She also stated that she still texts Kobe Bryant’s phone.
‘The texts go through, but no response,’ she said. ‘Sometimes, I find myself still waiting.’
People simply could not believe how Vanessa is able to talk without breaking down in tears.
Someone said: ‘My heart is breaking a million times per minute listening to her speak about them,’ and another follower posted this: ‘I don’t know HOW she held it together. She almost managed to read a whole essay without tears.’
One commenter wrote: ‘How she is able to talk I will never know. God, please be with Vanessa,’ while someone else sid: ‘Vanessa, the strongest woman, mama and wife I’ve ever seen 💔’
As you know, the basketball legend lost his life shockingly in a tragic helicopter crash.
Vanessa and Kobe’s second-born daughter, Gianna, 13, was with her dad as well, along with seven other people.
