Matt Baker Instagram: One Show star posts incredible update that leaves fans staggered

Matt Baker has surprised his 109,000 Instagram followers recently, as he revealed something he co-wrote last year. The One Show star sparked shocked comments from his fans as he finally revealed what he has been working on, after it became particularly “apt”.

The 42-year-old appeared to reference the death of fellow TV favourite Caroline Flack, who took her own life on February 15.

He uploaded a demo to his page with the caption: “Be Kind Song,” which has already been viewed more than 65,000 times.

Matt went on to say: “To everyone… Here’s a demo song I co-wrote last year. It seems apt. Be kind.”

Lyrics in the tune included: “One day we will discover, we are words in the same song. Be kind to each other.

“Sister and brother. One day we will discover, how we can sing along. Share with me your troubles.”

Many took to the comments section of his update to applaud the idea, including his BBC co-star Alex Jones.

She echoed his words, as she told him: “Very apt.”

One user continued: “This is amazing and you should get this released and raise money in memory of #carolineflack.”

“… Why the human race seems so hell bent on self destruction is beyond my comprehension. Kindness costs nothing, in a similar way that manners a respect don’t either.”

It comes after Caroline’s Instagram post from December resurfaced and read: “In a world where you can be anything, be kind.”

She died days before she was due to face trial for the alleged assault of her boyfriend, Lewis Burton.

Her death gave new momentum to the #BeKind hashtag, which was started in 2017 by Lucy Alexander, after she lost her son to suicide and wanted to make a stand against online trolling.
