PS Plus March 2020: PS4 free games news as fans share PlayStation predictions

The latest PlayStation Plus free games reveal is coming soon and there are now only a few days left before Sony announces them. PS4 free games plans for next month will be announced this week, and we even know the date. The PlayStation schedule for announcing PS Plus news suggests we should learn about the March PS Plus games lineup on February 26, 2020.

And until the early days of next month, PlayStation Plus subscribers will be able to add BioShock: The Collection, The Sims 4, and Firewall Zero Hour, to their collections.

These will remain playable in your digital library past February, but only for as long as you’re a paying PS Plus customer.

You will also need to make sure you have claimed the current games from the PS Plus section before they are replaced by the March PS4 games.

While we know what games are currently available, there have been no leaks so far to hint at what might replace them.

Sony could pick any number of titles from its large library of first-party content, not to mention from its third-party partners.

That hasn’t stopped fans making their own predictions, with many hoping for more big AAA titles to be announced.

The most popular game selection in 2020 so far has been DOOM and there is a good reason why.

While many gamers have already played it, Bethesda are set to launch its sequel later this year.

And with Doom Eternal arriving late in March, it would make it the perfect time for DOOM to be featured as a free game.

We’ve seen things like this happen in the past with other titles, so there are hopes something like this is being prepared.

Others are hoping for other winning combos, with games like Assassin’s Creed The Ezio Collection being mentioned alongside Nier Automata.

“I’d love TEC! Only AC games I’ve played are Odyssey (still working my way through it) and a tiny bit of Brotherhood at my cousin’s house years ago,” one gamer writes.

“I own Origins but haven’t started it yet, I love the idea of Egypt, though.”

Other mentions include Dark Souls Remastered and Mega Man 11, both of which would probably prove popular with a large number of PS4 gamers.

Others expect to see The Order 1886 included at some point in the future, and has featured on every PS Plus prediction thread since time immemorial.

While gamers believe there is some kind of system behind what games are featured during which month, not every collection can follow a pattern.

But since the start of 2020, Sony has been offering a lot of game collections, rather than just one title.

January featured Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, which technically included four games, although the multiplayer modes for the Uncharted games are not available.

The latest collection is the Bioshock trilogy, which proved a hit with PS Plus fans this month.

Sony explains: “From the undersea city of Rapture to the airborne metropolis of Columbia, BioShock: The Collection takes players on monumental journeys through awe-inspiring, deceptively dangerous places that are simply unforgettable.

“BioShock: The Collection features all three games in this award-winning series – BioShock, BioShock 2, and BioShock Infinite – remastered in 1080p, including all single-player add-on content.”

There is also the question of whether Sony will offer more PlayStation VR games moving forward.

February features Firewall Zero Hour, which requires a PSVR headset to play and is one very few virtual reality games to be offered.

The inclusion of Firewall Zero Hour as part of PS Plus also coincided with the launch of the game’s new season – Operation: Black Dawn which began February 4, and features a new map (Oil Rig) available for all players.
