Claire had previously recruited Marsali (Lauren Lyle) as a surgeon’s apprentice and each new patient still brings surprises to the young medical student.
In an interview with Oprah Magazine, Lauren said: “Despite being a woman of God and of the time, Marsali has always known that Claire’s some sort of white witch. There’s something a bit…more to her.”
Despite their unspoken understanding, fans are a little worried Claire is beginning to take more liberties with her medical abilities as war rages on.
