Former Strictly Come Dancing star Debbie McGee, 61, and her co-star BBC Radio Berkshire co-star Julian Perkins discussed Tyson Fury’s win against Deontay Wilder on her self-titled radio show today. Following this, Debbie stunned Julian about a moment she was mugged in her early twenties.
She told listeners: “A little Debbie story… I did punch somebody once, when I was about 22.
“I was at Waterloo station and I got mugged. This man grabbed my bracelet off my wrist, he was about six foot tall.
“I ran after him and I bopped him one, with my maybe small but it nips fist.
“I grabbed my bracelet back and ran away.”

She added: “He shouted in his very booming voice, ‘Sit down!’”
Demonstrating their reaction, Debbie laughed as she added: “Ok, Paul!”
On George’s reaction to the confrontation, she went on to say: “George was actually sweating and scared thinking they were going to get bopped in the face.
“He said, ‘Paul don’t ever do that again’.”
